All Services
IMMUNIZATION AND WELLNESS CARE | We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exams, internal parasite testing, heartworm and flea control, vaccination programs, spaying and neutering, and specialized blood tests for all life stages. |
INTERNAL MEDICINE | We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedic surgery, Oncology, and Endocrinology among others. |
DENTAL CARE Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe scaling technology to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. During your pet's dental cleaning, the first application of Oravet can be applied. Oravet therapy is a once-a-week treatment that you can continue at home as part of your pet's dental health routine to prevent further build-up of plaque and tartar on the teeth.
Our facility also offers partial and full mouth radiographs. Dental radiographs are an important part of properly assessing the severity of dental disease and your pet's overall dental health.
Unless directed otherwise by your veterinarian, please fast your pet with no food or treats after 10pm and no water after 6am. For all dental procedures, please drop off your pet between 8-9am. |
SURGERY We offer advanced surgical techniques and technology. With the exception of emergencies, we perform surgeries by appointment only. All patients are carefully screened for safety, receiving a pre-op exam, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. We highly recommend pre-anesthetic lab work prior to your pet's surgery which, in most cases, can be run in-house the morning of the surgery. Our surgical suite hosts a fully trained veterinary and technical staff to ensure the safest, most efficient procedures for your pet; heated surgery tables for greater comfort; advanced sterilization techniques including sterile caps, gloves, gowns and masks; state-of-the-art cardiac, blood pressure and blood oxygen monitoring continuously throughout the surgery by a member of the surgical team; and intensive after surgery care. Each patient receives IV fluid continuously throughout surgery. At discharge, a member of our surgical team will go over any post-operative instructions, including at home care and medications, and answer any questions you may have.
Unless directed otherwise by your veterinarian, please fast your pet with no food or treats after 10pm and no water after 6am. For all surgical procedures, please drop your pet off between 8-9 am. |
VETERINARY ACUPUNCTURE | Veterinary acupuncture is a very safe medical procedure offered in our facility by Dr. Terri Rosado that has minimal side effects. Dr. Rosado completed a course in animal acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Gainesville in 2007 and is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. Acupuncture is a comfortable procedure and some pets may even fall asleep during the procedure. Acupuncture therapy has many physiological effects including pain relief and anti-inflammatory effects. Treatment may vary from a single session to twice monthly treatments for more serious conditions and last approximately 50 minutes each. |
RADIOLOGY & ULTRASOUND Radiographs, or x-rays, help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular (cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. Our facility uses digital radiography that produces instant results for the doctor to review. This format also enables us to transfer these images to CD for transer to an emergency clinic or specialist.
Ultrasound provides a live 2-dimensional image of the inside of an animal. It is often used as an adjunct to radiology or by itself to obtain useful information about the internal organs. Ultrasound is also used to obtain urine samples from the bladder as well as a minimally invasive way of obtaining tissue samples at the sites of internal diseases. |

PAIN MANAGEMENT | Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. |
HOSPICE/EUTHANASIA SERVICES | Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity, including a private entrance and secluded room. We offer multiple options for assisting in taking care of your pet's remains and preserving their memory including private cremations, urns and clay paw prints. |
MICROCHIPPING | Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer one of the most widely used microchip products, the AVID Friendchip, to increase the chances of a safe recovery. This tiny microchip contains a one-of-a-kind indentification number that will not fade or fall off and distinguishes your pet as a special member of your family. There are many opportunities in our facility at which your pet can be microchipped by a trained staff member including during a routine spay or neuter as well as at an annual wellness exam. |
BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE | Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. Our doctors can help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a treatment regimen for the client. |
NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING | Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active. |
